Here’s a detailed report to go with our advice on the news section of the website. Four of us skied Wild Rice, BackWay, Hidden Pond, Blueberry, Boardpile, Laurel, Pitch Pine, and Wazoo today. The fact that we had a good time says it all, despite the thin cover, occasional rocks, and sticks. The surface is wonderful, with powder where ungroomed. The rocks were sun-warmed yesterday, so the snow on them melted and they are very easy to see and dodge. There are rare subsurface things that scrape skis lightly. Wild Rice was not very pleasant at its lower end, and watch out for the stick across Wazoo until we get to it! – Michael
